The third lecture reveals the important connection between the gut and the brain, and how we can use food as medicine. Simple dietary changes can affect both emotions and appearance, while offering important brain protection. “Leaky gut syndrome” is explained, and specific food strategies are offered, uncovering the preferred diet prescribed for Alzheimer’s, and some solid recommendations during the pandemic.
Lecture #4: SLEEP DOES MORE THAN YOU THINK; IT CLEANS AND REWIRES YOUR BRAIN!
This fourth lecture will discuss the important link that deep relaxation and quality sleep have on attaining, maintaining, and recovering optimum brain health. Practical strategies for improving nightly sleep are discussed, including identifying personal sleep chronotypes . The stresses that this pandemic have brought forth are discussed and methods of overcoming them are shared including a seven minute guided relaxation offered as a sample at the end of the lecture.
